PLAGIARISM UNWRAPPED

A national survey of 4,500 high school students in 2002 found that 75% of them engage in serious cheating, with more than half plagiarizing work they found on the internet (from CNN.com). Learn about what constitutes plagiarism, how to identify it, motivations behind it, and share your concerns and techniques for student instruction on this topic. Turnitin.com, a plagiarism detection subscription service will be demonstrated.  There will also be a ‘hands-on’ session on how to search for possible plagiarism with some sample research papers.
