The 1970s are maybe the most memorable decade of the century, but from the many
lives lost in Vietnam, the everlasting disco dance featured in Saturday
Night Fever, classic TV shows, Watergate and President Nixons resignation,
and the Iranian Crisis, all will stay forever in our memories.
Dr. Magdalena Caproiu and Dr. Matthew Jaffe will take the audience
back in time reviving the events of this decade emphasizing aspects of art,
music, education, everyday life where women fought for equal rights and job
equity increased, the environmental movement was more active, and space exploration
increased, the Affirmative Action policy went through controversial debates,
and Genetic Engineering started to be implemented.
