Romania and Transylvania are often linked to the legendary figure of Dracula
due to the Bram Stokers novel, one of the most read gothic books. Behind
Draculas legend and myth resides Vlad Tepes, a Romanian Prince who was
famous for his fights against thieves.
Dr. Magdalena Caproiu, a native of Transylvania, and Scott Covell,
an expert of the Gothic, will take you back into the 15th century discussing
the connection between facts and myths regarding historical, political, literary
and artistic events leading to the creation of Dracula as a symbol of Halloween.
