CATCH THE BRASS RING
THE HISTORY AND RESTORATION OF THE CAROUSEL

If you have fond childhood memories of riding a certain carousel, are a wood carver, or artist, or enjoy art history, don't miss this opportunity! The group will visit Running Horse Studios, the largest antique carousel figure restoration facility in Southern California. There, you will view a private collection of hundreds of unique American and European carousel figures in various stages of preservation. Participants will also view a presentation on carousel history and restoration, and be given the chance to use their new-found knowledge to attempt to identify the origins of several carousel figures. There will be a lunch stop in Pasadena on the return trip. Coordinators: Gail Lofdahl and Joan Fry
